Day 3 & 4 - Rome to Florence

Took me forever to find this church! I kept asking people where it was, but nobody seemed to know! Then I finally found it. It didn't look like a church from the outside. Looked like a normal building. I must have walked past it a couple of times!!! Anyways, this church is Santa Maria Vittoria. Even though it's a small church, it's still so so detailed on the inside. It houses one of Bernini's famous sculptures - Ecstasy of St. Teresa. If you want light to add effect it costs 0.50 euros.

Then went to the National Museum of Rome. It was an alright museum. Lots of statues and busts of people  inside that I do not recognize. But still interesting to look at.

Bocca della Verita! The security guy (an old guy) was joking around with me while I was waiting in line. Italy is a beautiful country to keep calling me bella! :) There was a sign that said 1 photo per person, but the guy took two photos for me! :)

Lunch near Piazza Venezia! I LOVE LASAGNA!!!!!

Then took one last picture of the great Colosseum since I was leaving Rome soon! :(

On the train from Rome to Florence! Train ride was so smooth and so fast! But expensive!!! :( 45 euros man!!! And it is such a hassle to carry around a huge ass luggage with you! UGH :(

Arrived in Florence where Lina and Joseph picked me up from the train station. On our way walking to our hotel I was SOOO thirsty, stopped to get a drink and found out that Duff Beer is REAL???? OMG! So course had to try it. It.... tasted.... like......BEER. Hahahaha!

Florence's Duomo! It's a really colorful duomo! Orange and green! These buildings are just overwhelming sometimes because they are humongous!!!

Our hotel! We crammed 3 people into a room! Hahaha, shared with Lina and Joseph. At first we were so lost finding our way to the hotel. At the end of our stay we became experts! Even found short-cuts! Haha

Had some aperitifs before dinner with Lina, Joseph and Antonia! Such a good time! Laughing and joking around! Ahhh and reminiscing about past events! :) Loved it!

Out in the streets around Florence you'll see art students drawing some famous painting. This was one especially good!!! I think she was Korean! BTW, there are a ton of Japanese and Korean tourists here in Italy.

Oh yeaaaaa - Yoda in Italy! ;)

Eating gelato at the 2nd best gelato place in Florence, according to Antonia. I swear, I've gotten gelato from this place about 6 or 7 times now! It is tooooo good! YUMMMM!!!! This one was Caramel Cream and Cheesecake! It looks like a heart! And plus, it's cheaper than other places too! You can get a 1 euro cone and get two different flavors while places in Rome, you can get the same size cone with only one flavor for 3 euros!!!

Next day, went to Siena with Lina and Joseph! Pretty weather! We got to the train station, but it was another 20-30 minute walk to the city center!

Fountain of Joy in Siena's square Il Campo!

Hehehe, pigeons also drink from the fountain, but you probably don't want to drink from this fountain since it's full of pigeon poop and feathers!!

Piazza del Campo! They have horse races here in the square only 2 times a year. It's a HUGE event! And this vast square will get filled up with people!

Big door! ;)

Ate a simple lunch outside near the square. Bruschetta with tomatoes, and Prosciutto with cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and artichokes!

Lina's feet were hurting a bit, so Joseph lent his muscles to help out a bit! :) Aaawwwww

Lina! Just give Joseph the backpack to carry!!! :P

Siena is full of steep steps and hilly sidewalks!

Siena's duomo! Also grand, colorful and overwhelming the first time you see it!

There are so many details on the duomo itself it would probably take you months to realize everything that's going on or sculpted into the church itself!!!

Mounds and mounds of gelato! They get creative with their gelato here! Some of them have faces!

Ok, Chloe! This is just for you! If you read my blog! But I found a store named Fanny and I just had to take a picture of it because it reminded me so much of you! MISS YOU!!! :)

Came back to Florence to have dinner with Antonia and James and their families at a restaurant around Santa Spirito! Chill area~

Beer from Sardinia~ actually not bad! I liked it! :)

BEST olives I have ever had!

My dinner! Linguine with clams! :9 Every bite I took I was like....... SO GOOD. SO GOOD!

Lina's dish! Some kind of fish with a ton of mussels!

Joseph's dinner - Pizza with goat cheese, figs and salami!

Yum yum yum yum!
Still in Florence for another 5 or 6 days! I'm going to get to know this city very well! ;) I found this really chill bar/cafe with free wi-fi, yay! And there's this really cute guy that works here! Ho ho ho! ;)
Anyways, after Florence I'll be going to Cinque Terre for about 3-4 days! Time to get real tan by the beach!

Stay tuned for more!
