From Riomaggiore - Manarola. Walking through the Pathway of Love again! |
Manarola's marina. Desmond and I waited for Dina here, so I took a quick swim! I could see little red fishies swimming underneath me! :) The water was salty, cold, and refreshing! |
It's too bright! Or I'm just too chinky. |
One of my partners in crime! Desmond from Singapore! |
Manarola! |
GRAPES!!! |
:) |
This was our lunch! Organic and healthy! We picked some grapes from someone's yard! Hahaa |
Then Desmond picked some apples off a tree for us because Dina was like, OH I WANT!! Hahahaha. Best apples I ever had! Right off a tree! YUMMY~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Desmond also picked some wild berries! Hahaha, he did all the picking! These were just eh, not so mature yet. But still somewhat tasty! |
So much grapes! |
Beautiful scenery! |
OM NOM NOM! |
Through our hiking we encountered some people hard at work picking grapes. It sure is tough to carry around such a heavy thing! |
We can finally see the next town - Corniglia!!! Taking the alternative path took us like an extra 2 hours!! |
Locals being crazy cause they said it was the end of the season so they wanted to do something fun and crazy! Hahah |
Then they also picked some grapes for us to eat!! |
These tasted alot better than the ones we picked before~!!! Juicy and sweet! |
Oh god....... so good! |
Finally arriving in Corniglia!! |
This one is named Corniglia! |
I don't know what to name this one. We saw this one through the hike. There are cats everywhere! Even like high up in the mountains/hills! |
Dina and Desmond! We have finally arrived in town #4 - Vernazza! |
Don't be fooled. It probably took another 20 minutes to actually reach the town center from here! |
Hahahahah, so cute! A kitty sleeping in a pot! :) |
Took a break in Vernazza and got some gelato and flatbread with pesto sauce!!! Nice treat after like 5 hours of hiking! |
Vernazza's Marina. Went for a little swim here. There was also a music festival going on! |
After our swim, we moved along. Leaving Vernazza behind and heading towards Monterosso! |
This was a really good hike. Full of ups and downs, narrow and wide roads. Different scenery all the way. |
Cinque Terre Holidays. Shared a room with 7 other people basically. Mixed. At least it was pretty clean! And in a good location! |
Had their own kitchen and everything. |
Ate dinner with Dina and Desmond at a restaurant next to the marina in Riomaggiore. Yummm seafood! |
Desmond ordered Spaghetti with a whole lobster and he also ordered a bottle of white wine! |
Dina got fish filled ravioli! |
I got spaghetti with fresh anchovies from Monterosso! |
