Adventures

My Spongebob bag I got from Leofoo Park! It is soooo 可愛! :)

Visited a place that specifically makes Hakka flower materials. These are persimmons.

A teacher took us to this restaurant in ZhuDong 竹東. Ate some kind of herb vegetable or something. It was actually reeally good!

炒臭豆腐 - stir fried stinky tofu! Soo good! But I think I like the fried ones better. Crispier!

This is called 五行麵 - Wu Xing Mian. Basically this noodle dish has the 5 elements in it, so it's supposed to be really healthy. Like each vegetable/meat represents a different element. It was DELICIOUS!!! I want to go back again and eat this! SOUP SO TASTY!!!

Need to come back again! :)

Deng Yu Xian Memorial Park. He was the guy that composed the song 望春風. A really famous Taiwanese song.

Zhi Liao Wo

Hakka flowers everywhere!

WenLin Pavilion - 文林閣. This temple is best known for when students want to make a good grade on an exam, they go to this temple and pray.

This was actually a really beautiful temple!

Rawrrr!!

I discovered this sign while we were driving back to school. I've been looking for a coffee shop/cafe kind of place around this area, so I was like.. I've GOT to check this place out!

So someone took us there by car. It was actually pretty high up in the mountains.

This place was decorated pretty nicely! Had the right kind of atmosphere. Easy to find, just a little bit of a distance.

It's beautiful inside! Clean, relaxing and chill!

Their outside patio~ :) Supar nice! I didn't stay for too long, since the others were waiting, so I decided that I would come back again by myself and try walking there.

This time, I came back by myself. And I walked.... it was 1.7 km which is roughly about 1 mile. So not too bad...but it was hot and I sweated my butt off.

FINALLY! After about 30 minutes, I finally arrived. Oh, and I saw a snake along the way... a HUGE snake. I froze completely and didn't move till it was out of my sight. I think my heart skipped a beat when I saw it. @_@

Decided to try their food. Which is kind of pricey, but had to try to see if it was worth it.

Really nice interior

I wonder how they stay in business. They don't seem to get much business..

I ordered a 黃金柚子茶. Not too bad, really sweet though.

Just a small side dish that comes with the meal. I got chicken wings... ahah. So I didn't think they were that worth it to take a picture of. I should have gotten something else.

Teehee! It had just rained, so they were on the porch area trying to stay dry.

SO, if you have ever watched this Taiwanese drama 醉後決定愛上你 - "Love you". There is a scene in that drama that they shot at a club. Yep, this is the club and I went there in Zhongli~ Whooooo! :) At first I tried getting the student discount...BUT

They refused me since I was a foreigner.... :( Boo. So I had to get a regular priced ticket.

This was actually a really nice club! I like it!

The group. Came with a bunch of Malaysians who were studying at Ta Hwa. We got a table, and this table is the one where they sat at! (In the drama!) Hahahaha

Went on a Wednesday night which was ladies night and all you can drink!

But since we got our own table, we also got our own drinks~ oh yeaaaa

Ummm, absinthe drink. Nasty ass shit! I didn't take the whole thing, just a sip.

Pretty fun night~ :) Since our dorms close at 11:30 pm and open again at 6:00 am. We basically had to stay out the whole entire night, and then return again at 6:00 am. SO yea, I slept for two hours, woke up again at 8:30 to take a shower then went in to work at 9:00... I was exhausted that day. I also had a minor headache... -__-

Happy Birthday, Yo! Sound loud, I could not even hear myself talk.

People in costumes. Must have been so hott

Met up with an old friend that I've known for about 6 years now. We met in Plano, and so whenever I go back to Taiwan, I always find time to visit her. They took us to go eat Beef Noodle Soup at this one restaurant called iNoodle in Hsinchu. It was REALLY good! Noodles were QQ, and the soup was tasty!

Her mom and my mom!

Me and Cindy!! :) It's been so long! She is sooo cute! One of the nicest people I know!

This...is a library! How cool is that?

Fei-Feng Mountain in Qionglin.

Dai Quan Tang on Fei-Feng Mountain.

The view from on top of Fei-Feng Mountain. If you go the very peak of the mountain, you can actually see Taipei 101 on a clear day!

San Shan Guo Wang Temple - 三山國王

Pay your respects to the Gods

I've been to many different places this time in Taiwan. It's actually been a pretty amazing adventure for me. I've learned lots about Hakka culture, visited many traditional places and got to eat so many tasty foods! I am blessed! :) Especially since, I have a special friend who I can tell my stories to! That's what makes it special, is that I can share what I'm experiencing to all of ya'll.

Stay tuned for more~
